Once again, we need your help to compile our new regular feature, Wish List. Here’s the concept: we pick a big upcoming movie. You tell us what you want to see in that movie. We print your demands. And then… well, you never know, maybe the director will read it and take your ideas on board. More likely they won’t, but look on the bright side, eh?
Our next victim is the upcoming Steven Spielberg/Tom Cruise collaboration, War Of The Worlds, a new version of the classic HG Wells tale, set in the modern day. Tell us what you want to see. Do you want the Martians to look like the ones from the 1953 version of the movie? Do you want George Bush to get zapped by a Martian death ray? Do you demand a total absence of Spielberg’s trademark syrupy sentimentality?
Let us know by e-mailing sfx@futurenet.co.uk. Please put the words Wish List in the subject line of your e-mail, and don’t forget to include your name and where you’re from – otherwise you won’t get any credit!
A selection of the very best comments will be printed in SFX issue 128, on sale 16 February.
Check this site if you have any questions as I dont have anything to do with the mag, ok?

New pics from the set!
Hey guys! I was gonna be doing any pictures update until I finish re-organizing the galleries, but I got some more pictures from War of the Worlds set and couldn’t wait. Some I had already posted smaller, and some are all new to-die-for!
Also, for those who are wondering about the filming of War of the Worlds, they should go back filming the movie next week in LA.

Video of the Week
This week we’ve got The 2004 Nobel Peace Prize Concert that aired on E! last thursday! Enjoy. The video isn’t so big, so the old videos are still on the server too (Christmas gift
)

Edited to add: I will start repeating the videos next week and I will try uploading on yousendit, but please, don’t email me asking as I dont have time to upload them now, ok?
I’m re-organizing the galleries (all 20000 pictures!), and I’m gonna change the software to a simpler one and the current one is not so organized and is not allowing users to upload art and stuff. So, please, give me a little time to finish it, okay?

Tom’s gift
In addition to the news reported by Annie (from website Teen Hollywood) I’ve found the following:
Actor Tom Cruise slipped $6600 cash into a collection box for an 11-year-old accident victim at a fast-food restaurant.
Cruise, who is in Virginia filming his new movie, War of the Worlds, stopped by the Dairy Queen in Lexington on Thursday night accompanied by director Steven Spielberg and an entourage of about 20 others.
The accident victim, Ashley Flint, 11, faces a fourth operation in January, and her single mother cannot pay the medical bills.
Flint was seriously injured in a go-cart accident in September. Her family placed the collection box in the Dairy Queen soliciting donations.
“I’m very grateful to Tom Cruise,” the girl’s mother was quoted as saying by the Roanoke Times newspaper.
The girl lost her short-term memory as a result of the accident and was unable to identify Cruise in a photograph, her mother said. Nevertheless, the girl plans to write Cruise a thank you note.
The restaurant had closed for the night for an employee Christmas party when Cruise and his entourage arrived, the Roanoke Times reported. The staff gladly opened its doors and let Cruise order some ice-cream.
Cruise stayed at the party for more than half an hour, according to employees.
Several Dairy Queen employees told the paper they believed one of the people in the entourage was Cruise’s former girlfriend, Spanish actress Penelope Cruz.

He showed Cuba Gooding Jr. the money back in 1996. And earlier this week, Tom Cruise dished it out again, this time all in the name of good will.
Indeed, it was just another normal day at the Dairy Queen in Lexington, Virginia — until Cruise walked in and brought his on-screen heroics into the real world to change the life of a certain youngster.
The “Jerry Maguire” and “Collateral” star stepped up to the counter of the ice cream shop where he saw a tip jar with a photo of young Ashley Flint, who was injured in a go-cart accident. Following the accident, her family was left with a mountain of hospital bills.
So what did Tom do? Maybe chip in a buck? Two bucks? A twenty spot?
Try, five thousand dollars — in cash.
“He didn’t know this girl at all. They’re complete strangers and he made the donation, which I thought was very charitable and right at Christmas too,” Dairy Queen employee Jason Donald remarked.
Cruise has been on the east coast filming Steven Spielberg’s “War of the Worlds” and was actually with the director at the time of the generous donation.
And while Ashley would obviously like to thank Tom the terrific for being such a good Samaritan, it turns out she wasn’t really impressed when her mom told her the news.
“She woke me up and told me and I was just kinda like, ‘Cool,’ and then I tried to get back to sleep,” Ashley revealed. “And then I got up and found out what happened and I was like, ‘What?!’”
