Tom Cruise will splash out millions of dollars on an Arabian Knights-themed wedding when he marries fiancee Katie Holmes.

The 43-year-old actor wants to wed the former Dawson’s Creek actress in Mexico’s Maroma resort after witnessing a $1 million (GBP600,000) ceremony earlier this year (05) where 300 bare-footed guests partied in a castle decorated like a temple.

A source tells British newspaper the Sunday Mirror, “Tom was really annoyed that he couldn’t have the presidential suite when he was on holiday with Katie in May.

“But it didn’t stop him from taking a good look at the wedding that was going on.

“He was bowled over by what he saw. He got his people to call the wedding planner (Kevin Lemon) and they said, ‘Can you make it identical but with millions of flowers?’

“Kevin was really excited about planning such a massive wedding, especially as Tom’s people said that he could have a blank cheque.”

Don’t worry, we’re still surfin’ the internet these days, but there’s just not much to report. Today I’ve found this little piece by NBC 10 News:

Alleged celebrity sightings have people talking about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes in the New Bedford area.

The Standard-Times reported Friday that there have been “almost daily” reports that one or the other has been sighted in the SouthCoast. Some speculate the recently-engaged Hollywood couple may be looking to buy a home.

At least one real estate agent admitted showing properties to a famous Hollywood personality, but he wouldn’t reveal the name for confidentiality reasons.

But perhaps fans shouldn’t get their hopes up. Representatives for the actors have said Tom and Katie are not looking for a home in either Dartmouth or Westport.

Academy Award-winner Jamie Foxx has hit out at the press for giving his Collateral co-star Tom Cruise a hard time in recent months.

Foxx believes reporters want to knock Cruise, who is a devoted Scientologist and recently announced his whirlwind engagement to Katie Holmes, off his pedestal as Hollywood’s biggest star simply because he is so phenomenally successful.

He says, “Tom Cruise is like the Michael Jordan (US basketball legend) of acting. He looks like he has everything–and he does. He has never had a fall. So people are looking for him to trip and fall. If someone had squirted water in my face, I would have whooped their a*s.”

Cruise hit the headlines in June when pranksters from Britain’s Channel 4 network squirted the actor with water on the red carpet of the War of the Worlds premiere. The shocked actor confronted the culprit, repeatedly labelling the man “a jerk”, but later decided he would not press charges.
