As said Tom was interviewed by Barbara Walters for her show ‘Barbara Walters Presents The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2005′. “We are going to get married next summer or early fall,” Cruise told the newscaster. “We don’t have a date set yet.”
Tom also talked to Walters about his plans to keep an eye on the baby until it’s born. “I bought a sonogram machine,” he explained. “I am going to donate it to a hospital when we are done.” The machines, which cost upwards of $150,000, use ultrasound waves to monitor a baby’s development in the mother’s womb. He says he has been taught to use the machine and has already used it to view the tiny fetus. When asked if he knew the baby’s gender, Cruise replies that he doesn’t know yet, but even if he did, he wouldn’t reveal it.
‘Barbara Walters Presents The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2005‘ airs November 29 on ABC. People Magazine will also be printing excerpts from the interview in this week’s issue.
Next was a trip to Shanghai, China, where Tom is filming scenes for Mission: Impossible 3. Click here to see pictures of Tom and Katie in Shanghai. More pics of Tom in Xitang, Tom at the set of M:I-3 and of Tom & Katie you’ll find here. Enjoy!

Hi,
I appreciate your work Tom!
With regards to the sonogram machine, I just wanted to let you know that there are risks with everything. My pre-natal Dr. told me that the sounds waves are a risk to the baby’s hearing development - if overused, the baby could be deaf or partially deaf.
Please look into the details before you use this. I realise having a baby is the best gift on earth! Congratulations!
Take care,
Sue
