LOS ANGELES (December 7, 2006) — Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have hit Hollywood tonight, turning up for the ‘Pursuit of Happyness’ premiere, a flick which stars their friend and wedding guest, Will Smith.

Access Hollywood just spotted the newlyweds inside the theatre, where they were in fine fashion form. Tom is wearing a dark, three-piece suit and is sporting slightly longer hair than at his Italian wedding. As for Cruise’s new bride, Katie is radiant in a sleeveless black dress with a mock neck.

The couple spent some of the early part of the evening speaking with actress Thandie Newton, Tom’s ‘Mission Impossible 2′ co-star. Newton plays Will’s wife in ‘Pursuit.’
The couple did not walk the red carpet but they did manage to salute Access’ own Tony Potts.

The night before (on Wednesday evening) they dined with Victoria Beckham at the trendy Cut steakhouse in Beverly Hills on Wednesday evening, reports Hello!.

“Since they returned from their honeymoon in the Maldives, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have been busier than ever, PEOPLE reports in its new issue.

The pair spent two weeks after their Nov. 18 nuptials chilling out on a yacht owned by Australian media heir James Packer and at the exclusive Kurumba Resort on a private island. And despite a tropical storm, they were all smiles when they headed home on Dec. 1.

Now back in L.A., this weekend they’ll throw a post-wedding party at the home of Cruise’s longtime producing partner, Paula Wagner, for friends who couldn’t make it to their lavish Italian wedding.

And Cruise is already getting to work on his latest project: helping run the United Artists movie studio, which he and Wagner are relaunching with MGM.

Meanwhile, Holmes and 7-month-old daughter Suri are getting back into the Hollywood social swing. On Dec. 4 they both popped by the Sunset Marquis Hotel & Villas for a visit with Holmes’s new BFF, Victoria Beckham, in town for a magazine photo shoot. “They talked about how great the wedding was,” says a Beckham friend.

They’re not the only ones reminiscing about those dazzling nuptials. “There was just a lot of heart and soul,” Cruise’s Jerry Maguire director, Cameron Crowe, tells PEOPLE. “They’re the real deal, and I’m so happy for them.” ”

“Party to be held at home of Cruise’s agent and his business partner

Newlyweds Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes will celebrate their nuptials with a post-wedding party in Los Angeles this weekend.

A reception/cocktail party will be held Saturday at the home of Hollywood power couple Paula Wagner, who is Cruise’s producing partner, and Rick Nicita, the actor’s agent, Arnold Robinson, a spokesman for Cruise, told The Associated Press on Wednesday.

Cruise, 44, and Holmes, 27, were married Nov. 18 in Bracciano, Italy. Afterward, they flew to the Maldives for a two-week honeymoon.

The party is “for friends (who) were not able to attend the wedding in Italy,” Robinson said.

Cruise and Holmes are the parents of a 7-month-old daughter, Suri.

Last month, MGM announced that Cruise and Wagner would be in charge of the United Artists movie studio. They were cut loose from a 14-year producing deal with Paramount Pictures in August.

Sumner Redstone, chairman of Paramount parent company Viacom Inc., had blamed Cruise’s antics over his romance with Holmes (jumping on talk-show host Oprah Winfrey’s couch, for example) and his Scientology preaching for undermining box-office returns on the actor’s “Mission: Impossible III.” ”

CBS News’ Amy Guttman reported Tom & Katie have bought a home outside London (UK). But other reports suggest otherwise (thanks Helen!):
NO CRUISE IN THE COUNTRY
Newlyweds Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have laughed off reports they have bought an English country mansion together.
Earlier this week, Us Weekly claimed the pair has paid $4.75 million on a six-bedroom house in West Sussex, south of London. However, a spokesperson for the couple currently living in the house, says “they have no intention of selling.”
A representative for the “Mission: Impossible” star adds, “I’m not aware of any purchase.”
Cruise and Holmes spend most of the time in their Beverly Hills, Calif., mansion, where they live with their baby daughter Suri and the actor’s two children with ex-wife Nicole Kidman, Isabella and Connor. (www.sfgate.com)

Yhanks everybody for thinking with me about correct stories! We all know and agree that sometimes the most stupid stuff is written about celebrities. Most of the time it’s clear if it’s garbage or not (like the groom-on-a-honeymoon-story) and we can also find links to prove that, if you take the effort of searching for it. In this case, it could have been true and didn’t sound strange, that’s why I posted it. But of course I want to post true stories so thank you for the heads up!

Although I’d find it hard to believe anyone would believe reports that Tom would bring his best man to his honeymoon, it is still widely spread througout the internet as a ‘fact’. What is a fact, is that Tom & Katie brought Suri and apparently 2 or 3 bodeguards.

This strange story is now also denied by Miscavige’s representative:
Reports suggested Miscavige and one other person joined the newlyweds and their baby daughter SURI on a cruise of the Maldives in the Indian Ocean. However, a representative for the church says, “This is so stupid. I don’t know how many times I have to say it: It is absolutely 100 percent not true. Mr Miscavige was not there.”ContactMusic.com)

Superstar Hollywood couple Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes left Maldives on Friday after a fortnight’s honeymoon.
The couple first arrived on 19th November at 9:30pm with their 8-month old baby, Suri, and two other people. The group of five spent the fortnight on the yacht, Arctic, which is owned by one of Cruise’s friends. The couple was met by Haveeru Daily photographers and reporters at the airport as they were about to leave. The group arrived at the airport via launch at around 6:45pm on Friday and left the Maldives via their private jet at around 7:11pm.
All the immigration and official procedures required for exiting the country were carried out by Cruise’s bodyguards and Maldivian agents in conjunction with the airport authorities prior to their arrival at the airport. The couple disembarked their launch at the jetty and walked to the VIP lounge. Baby Suri was carried by Tom Cruise on the way to the lounge but was later carried by Katie.
The photo opportunity was provided only to Haveeru Daily and Italian freelance photographers, although the couple posed with several Maldivians in the VIP lounge, of which some of these photos reached Haveeru Daily via Multimedia Messaging Service.
The couple was videoed by Haveeru Daily reporter Abdulla Jameel on their way to the VIP lounge. The only Maldivian photographer to take the pictures of the couple was Haveeru Daily reporter Ahmed Abdulla.
When Haveeru Daily reporters asked the couple how their honeymoon was, Cruise replied with a smile that he was very satisfied and that he would love to return to the Maldives. At this point, Cruise gave Haveeru Daily reporters his autograph.(Haveeru Daily Online)

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have returned from their honeymoon in the exotic Maldives islands. The couple got married, according to Scientology rites, on November 18, 2006 in a high profile wedding at a 15th-century Odescalchi castle near Rome and arrived in the Maldives the next day.

The honeymoon, largely spent island hopping in Tom’s friend James Packer’s boat, The Arctic P, was marred by rain.
On their return, the couple arrived at the Male International Airport in the Maldives with baby Suri at 7 am. Tom was dressed casually with trainers while Katie was wearing a pair of Victoria Beckham white jeans. Tom flew home with his family in his private Gulfstream jet, which was at the airport.
