Happy HALLOWEEN to every one :)

Have a safe holiday. :)

In the new “Five Friends” video, director Steven Spielberg tries to get his pals Harrison Ford, Julia Roberts, Tom Cruise, Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz, Snoop Dogg, Ben Stiller, Zach Braff, Neil Patrick Harris, Scarlett Johansson and Tobey Maguire to do the follow-up “Don’t Vote” PSA.

Only they don’t get the high concept. Don’t vote?

“I respect you, you know, you got awards and stuff, but this is ridiculous,” Will Smith tells Spielberg, who asks the actors to act more “sarcastic.”
“What if people don’t understand that it’s being sarcastic?” Shia LaBeouf asks.
“Oh, sarcasm. I can do sarcasm,” says Cruise.
“I can do anything. I was in … a boy band,” Justin Timberlake adds.

Finally, Harrison refuses to say it, explaining that one vote does matter because only 537 people decided the 2000 election.
“That’s it? There’s more Baldwin brothers than that,” an incredulous Ryan Reynolds says.
Finally, Spielberg tears up the script.

Tom and Suri walk into the play

On the 2-year-old’s second trip since May, Suri Cruise and her doting dad, Tom, were spotted at a Friday night performance of the hit Broadway musical.

Wide-eyed Suri, munching on M&M’s and clutching her blanket, stood up in her seat with excitement for much of the show despite dad’s gentle coaxing to sit down.
Wearing a darling little dress and sporting her fresh-cut bangs, she even clapped along with a few songs.

Minus Suri’s mom, actress Katie Holmes, Tom also had sister Cass in tow. Last week, she also accompanied him to one of Holmes’ performances in Arthur Miller’s “All My Sons.”

Suri is apparently a big fan of the “Hairspray” film starring Nikki Blonsky, so her parents took her to the musical earlier this year – and she really got hooked. The family even went back stage to pay compliments to the cast. (NYDailyNews)

What Suri wants, Suri gets – and Suri loves her some “Hairspray!”

Matt is happily surprised to see Tom

Matt Lauer gave Tom a standing ovasion when he surprised him with a visit. After his roast, Matt commented on it to Access Hollywood. When asked how he felt about Tom entering the room to approach the microphone, he said:

“It was a great moment. I was really happy to see him. I thought it was an enormously classy move on his part… and he kills, by the way.”

See the video clip of the Matt interview here.

Tom and Matt

Matt Lauer and Tom Cruise

As Matt Lauer was being roasted by the Friar’s Club on Friday, a special guest showed up to take some jabs at the “Today” show host – Tom Cruise.

Three years after Cruise and Lauer’s infamous interview on “Today,” where the actor called the host “glib” while discussing his views on psychiatric medicine and Scientology, Cruise hit the Friar’s Club for a little roast revenge.

According to Access Hollywood’s Nancy O’Dell, who was inside the roast, following a taped message from Ryan Seacrest, Cruise was introduced, walked out and hugged Lauer on stage.
“Everyone in the room was shocked,” one audience member reveals to OK!. “Tom just walked across the stage after a video segment.”

Tom told the audience that he would do anything for his “good friend Matt.” He then said he is the one person in the world who knows where Matt Lauer is (referring to the “Today” show “Where in the World is Matt Lauer” segments).

Cruise said Lauer was the man “we wake up to every morning — only because we had the channel on NBC before we fell asleep.”

“Matt and I are best friends; we do everything together,” Tom told the crowd as he flipped through doctored photos of him and Matt jet skiing, barbecuing and sitting together on the couch. “Which some of you may find surprising because we had that, uh… you know
“When we can’t get together, we’ll talk on the phone two, three, four times a day and say, ‘Matt are you watching this?’ And he’ll say, ‘yeah.’ And we’ll sit there.”

He then ribbed Lauer, saying “My life is made up of jumping from international film set to fancy party, from fancy party to international film set,”
“You have found happiness doing the same thing everyday. You sit on a couch all day and interview the car from Knight Rider and cook radishes with Rachael Ray until Father Time and GE think you are too old and too boring!” Cruise said.

“You’re the one who told me to talk about Katie Holmes on Oprah!” he said. “Matt gave me some advice: ‘When people come on my show, I don’t want them talking about their dopey movie. Tom, don’t be glib. You are in love. Talk about (Katie). People will love you for it,’” Cruise said.

The actor also recounted a golf outing Lauer had with O.J. Simpson. “Matt said to O.J., ‘If people have your memorabilia, go back and get the (stuff) back. People will love you for it.’”

Cruise later dragged NBC chief Jeff Zucker into the joke, saying that Lauer told Zucker, “Jay Leno’s contract is up. Why don’t you let him go while everyone still thinks he’s funny. People will love you for it.”

After joking that Matt had been the one who suggested that his former co-host Katie Couric leave her Today Show gig, Tom wrapped things up by saying, “In front of all these people, I just want you to know I cant believe I flew all the way out here… Now lose my number, you glib putz.” Tom, in true Ryan Seacrest fashion, ended his speech saying, “Cruise out.”

Lauer embraced the actor and in rebuttal to Tom’s roasting, after the Osar nominee exited, Matt said, “Come on, Tom… Stay. We can get a booster seat!” When he realized Tom wasn’t returning, Al Roker, the master of ceremonies for the surprise roast, quickly responded “Oh, guess his spaceship has to leave.”

According to a Friar’s Club source, Tom wrote his own material and the Scoop can attest that he did not refer to his notes during his delivery.

A fun time was had by all.

Thandie Newton got a kissing lesson from Tom Cruise, she has revealed. The actress admitted her lip-lock skills weren’t up to scratch when filming Mission Impossible 2 with the Hollywood star, so he took it upon himself to give her a few tips with her love scenes. She said:

“It was the last scene in the film…I nearly died and we’re reunited and I had to do this very passionate clinch and I was squashing his face too much when I was kissing him…he was like “hey Thandie, no, God, God no” and so he goes to look at the monitor to see how it looks and he says “Thandie, Thandie come you’ve got to see this”.

“So I run to the monitor and he shows me and he’s right, I’m going at it like I’m burrowing after something. “So then we ran back on to the set, we did it again and then we ran back to the monitor, looked at it again, not quite right, back again so by the end it was this perfect, perfectly choreographed kiss. I was avoiding his nose, he was avoiding my nose and that was it. But yeah it was a very odd 20 minutes at work.” (infosjeunes)
