Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Divorcing

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are ending their five-year marriage.

“This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family,” Holmes’ attorney, Jonathan Wolfe, said in a statement, first given to People Magazine. “Katie’s primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter’s best interest.”
Cruise’s rep, Amanda Lunberg, told THR, “Kate has filed for divorce and Tom is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children. Please allow them their privacy to work this out.”
The actor and actress were married in a star-studded Italian wedding in November, 2006, and have a six-year-old daughter named Suri. Cruise was previously married to actress Nicole Kidman, from 1990-2001, and actress Mimi Rogers, from 1987-1990. Holmes is 16 years his junior; she was previously engaged to actor Chris Klein.
Holmes is perhaps best known for her lead role in the teen drama Dawson’s Creek, while Cruise has toplined a long list of hit films. His most recent effort, the 80s hair-metal musical Rock of Ages, struggled at the box office, while this winter’s Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol proved a massive hit. He will next be seen as Jack Reacher in the big screen adaptation of the action novel One Shot.

  I really hate that Katie Holmes has filed for a divorce,and on top of that she has the nerve to ask for full custody of their daughter Suri.She’s also speaking out against him.It’s reported that Katie said Tom is trying to bring Suri into Sciencetology.I don’t know if this is true,but is Katie trying to say she didn’t know that Tom was a Sciencetologist?If she is saying that,then she’s a liar because Tom didn’t hide that from anyone.This really sucks,Tom was finally getting his career back on track and Katie go and do this to him.

  I am very sad for Tom, who genuinely is a family man, a good loyal husband and a terrific dad. And whatever her reasons, I don’t like the way she filed for divorce, playing still the loving wife until 2 days ago then waiting until Tom was on location out of the country, like stabbing him in the back, really! And asking for sole custody…..what kind of a hateful person would do that to a loving dad and his adored little daughter…

  Be patient and be strong. She wants out, so be it, but you have to protect yourself and be wise. you may like to create a trust fund for Suri and give her a monthly support/allowance base on her age, and someone have to take control on your daughter livelihood but not solely your soon to be ex.

  Are you controlling type of person, no heart or the only decision makers? I guess your are not, you work very hard, your wife spend hards as well, but pity it is not your luck, you have to accept it and being single parent/man also exciting, say what people like to say bad about you, life have to move on like or not.
