Phillip Noyce is already set to direct this political potboiler.

The screenplay was written by Transformers’ Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. The plot follows the adventures of an American President (Tom) that discovers the United States is actually being controlled by a super secret organization (run by Denzel Washington) that terminates those that get in its way.

Warner Brothers is currently working on a deal to get the two super stars on screen together. At this time, there is no set start date. (Source: Movieweb)

Those who want to download the second part of the Tom on Oprah interview must have a little bit more patience.

Please know that there’s already work done on trying to get this file converted but there’s an error that needs to be fixed and it takes some time. Annie will try to get it all done and available for download as soon as possible, probably this weekend.

She could use the youtube video and make something out of that but of course you might prefer a high quality download file. If you are downloading, it must be good, don’t you agree?! ;-)

You can already watch the interviews, and soon you can also download it. I can’t do it so please keep checking the site for a post from Annie, it will be up ASAP!

The Today Show host and the Top Gun star came to blows in 2005 over Scientology’s stance against psychiatric medication — causing headlines across the gloge.

Cruise, 45, admitted that he regretted the spat when he appeared on Oprah last week. And Lauer says it’s all water under the bridge; and there’s no need for Tom to apologize.

He says, “I don’t think he needs to apologize.

“I don’t feel there are any hard feelings. It was an interview. It was a good moment on television.”

Lauer confessed that he didn’t watch the actor’s interview. “I was traveling,” he tells People.com “I didn’t see the interview. Somebody told me a little bit.”

In fact, Lauer said he would welcome the chance to interview the Hollywood titan again. “The doors are open,” he added. “I hope he comes back and seems me real soon.” (Showbiz Spy, 9 May 2008)

Wednesday’s The View cut to a clip taped by Cruise. As an emotional Walters looked on, he said, “First I want to congratulate you for 50 years as a leading force for women. Not only in the newsroom, but the world at large.
