Goodbye for now…

Hi everybody,

As you might know I’ve put a lot of energy in the site for years. For quite some time now I’ve been frustrated about not being able to give you as fans everything you deserve and expect from a Tom Cruise fan site. I had hoped we would have had a new moderator by now who could help us out, Mina and I have tried to get her on board for quite some time now. Unfortunately we haven’t succeeded (yet?) but this means another disappointment for you and for us and still no improvement.

To be honest I really don’t know how I can inspire you all to keep coming here. It seems almost impossible to be proud of this site anymore. We used to be the best and lately all I feel is frustration about the lack of updates and disappointing all of you. I’m the kind of girl who goes all the way for a cause, so seeing this site deteriorate after working on it for so many years is hard to watch. It hurts, but I can’t change it on my own. I need help. Since there still isn’t any, after so many months of frustration about it and trying to come up with stuff to make things better, I almost feel I can’t do anything else than to quit the site for now. I hope to be back with good news but there’s no use in updating once a week or once a month and missing out on stuff we could have informed you about. What’s the use when fans who are searching for daily updates and don’t find that here are long gone to look elsewhere?

So with a lot of pain in my heart I hereby let you know that I’m officially taking a break from updating, with hopes things will get better. I don’t want to leave, so if you feel there’s still a chance and it isn’t useless to keep uploading news because you still care, please let me know. I am sorry about this but I feel you deserve to know what’s going on and I don’t want to keep disappointing you with the lack of updates. I stand for more. I hope we can revive this site more, so please don’t leave us entirely behind… if you considered leaving . I still have a little faith we will be back and will be the best Tom Cruise Fan site there is!

  A lot of thanks to you, Chantal. I have really enjoyed news and updates from you. It’s very sad that you said Goodbye for now. But you said kids and family are No.1 priority, and that’s true. So don’t hurt yourself and let the things be as it is.

  I’ll come here sometimes and I may write some opinion on the fan forum every once in a while. I really love this site and appreciate you and everyone.

  I hope you will take enough time for your family. At the same time I hope you will be back sometimes when you find a little bit free time.

  As a Japanese fansite keeper, I have a problem with a few readers and with no answering, but I ‘m trying to keep the site within my ability. I hope Tom will make a new movie soon and help us out.

  I’m not really surprised by this development. I used to visit often but I gave up awhile ago. No updates, few pics, nobody in the forum. It’s obvious that Annie gave up on this site a long time ago and Chantal was just trying to keep it running. Why bother at this point.

  There are other sites out there like —————- that are so active with many updates a day and a real busy forum and excellent information.

  Although I’m sorry to see TomCruiseFan go (and it really went a long time ago), its really time to pull the plug.

It is the only place on the internet where you can find news, video and great galleries of the worlds biggest movie star. Your site is much more thorough than Tom Cruise’s own website! There is no reason you should feel any frustration towards this site; you don’t have to kill yourself in trying to constantly update the site; I think people appreciate the organization and collection of media that you have gathered.   Well I have to say that this is the first time I visited your site http://www.tomcruisefan.com and it sounds like everyone is a little heart broken over their current life situations and inability to give the site what it deserves.

  I checked through a lot of the previous information and there sure was lots of it, it seems that many people had a great interest in the site and followed it almost as religiously as you did. It is a shame and hopefully you get the chance to give it some time or perhaps get the help that you need to keep it going.

  Good luck with the continued running of the site, if possible, and with any family or health problems that are creating hassle. I am sure Tom Cruise appreciates all his fans (I definitely was a fan but with my own life I don’t seem to have time to be a fan to anyone).
