Katie Holmes & Nicole Kidman Join Forces

Not much else to reports, like Annie said already, so I’m just posting whatever comes up so that you guys have anything to read

It appears as if Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes not only share a mutual respect for one another, but parenting advice as well. Holmes became stepmother to Kidman’s adopted children, Isabella and Conor, upon marrying Tom Cruise. The two actresses are bucking the trends of animosity and competition that typically result from this type of scenario, and amicably consult with one another on the upbringing of the children.

A source from the Post Chronicle said: “Katie was having lunch with friends in Beverly Hills when Isabella rang her to talk to her about a party she was going to.”
“Katie said, ‘That was Bella. She wants to wear a dress to a birthday party but I think it is much too grown up for her. But she says her mother approves. So I need to check with Nicole.’”
“Then after she’d made the call to Nicole she told her friends, ‘Nicole agrees with me. The dress is all wrong. The drama of it all! If I’ve learned one thing about teenagers, it’s that little things mean a lot.’ “

Katie, who gave birth to her daughter, Suri, 9 months age, is keen to be a good mother to Isabella, 14, and 12-year-old Conor, and hopes to earn their love and respect herself.

An insider told Hello magazine: “She didn’t want the children to respect her only because Tom told them to, but rather because they wanted to.”
“Nicole is actually a big fan of Katie’s. She thinks Katie is doing an amazing job of stepping up to the plate.”
“Katie’s always there for Isabella and Connor, as she is with the new baby.”

It is quite pleasant hearing that Nicole and Katie have worked everything out so nicely. It surely will do wonders for the children as they continue to grow older! (Source: Celebrity-gossip.net)

  This does not surprise me. Both these women have class and mutual love for Isabell and Connor. This is great for Tom also. It is great to read something positive for a change regarding Katie and Tom and Nicole. There is way too much negative JUNK being printed. When will it stop!!!! I can’t wait to see him at the Oscars. Does anyone know which award he will be presenting?? It doesn’t matter anyway. I just want to see him there.

  It’s not surprising really with the intellect (and great taste in men) of both women, but still really nice to hear that everyone has the children’s best interests at heart…

  I think Nicole has forgiben her childrens…
  she’s never with them! they live with tom… it’s just not usual that childrens live with their father and not with their mother… I don’t know… I just think it’s a little bit rare…

  And it’s not fear to katie…to raise childrens that aren’t hers… and less for Bella and Connor!
  I don’t like Nicole, really.

  But at the end non of us knows the real situation, so…

  it’s just my opinion!

  I too think that Nicole does not have much interest in her children and in their life. Usually sharing custody means that the children WILL live with one parent for periods of time during the year (usually agreed upon in the divorce papers) then with the other parent. It does not seem to be the case here, with the mother just taking them very occasionnally out for lunch….never taking them to their sport activities or sharing in their lives and not having them living at her home – wherever it may be – during any period. Tom is lucky to have in Katie a warm, loving Mom surrogate. She seems to do a good job!

  I can’t wait to see Tom at the Oscars! I wonder what award Tom will announce?

  I think thats a great thing for them to do specially now that Kattie is living with thekids that will encourage her and I believe she will be happy raising the kids for her.May God Bless them.

  I think Nicole kids is better off without her. Nway, I know for sure Katie and Tom got so much love and enough love for all their children. Who needs else?
