Kenneth Branagh joins M:I-3

Hollywood reporter reports that Kenneth Branagh will join the cast of Mission: Impossible 3. No details of his role are revealed but expected is that he will play a villain. Further casting is under way. Reuters, SciFi, RTE, Filmforce, Zap2it, Backstage.com, comingsoon.net and Empire Online all say the same.

Also a little fun thing: According to a poll held by Hello! magazine more than 20,000 people and over half of the votes counted said Tom would get back with Pen instead of with Nicole or someone else. I personally don’t think they will, but who am I?

  I voted for “a new starlet” (I think you understand my choice!);
  but Pen was in high competition with nicole, so I voted for Pen! ’cause I prefer her, she’s modest and humble contrary to nicole.

  Great cast to come for MI3; It will be interesting to see Branagh in, because it’s really not his type or movie!

  I fear that if Tom takes Nicole back (remember? it is not the other way around!) she would make him PAY and PAY and PAY for all the public show of love with Penelope during the last 2 years in the tabloids and all those kisses on her shoulder, etc…She could make his life pure hell, as a revenge. Better not go back to her! Lili

  I voted for Nic! She’s the best! I never did get the Pe relationship – I could see her taking Tom to the cleaners – Nic however really loved him – I think it’s sad he didn’t realize what a wonderful family he had and fight to keep it. Who knows maybe he will now – He will if he has an ounce of sense or brains and it won’t be just for the children but because he really is in love with Nicole.
  I heard he wanted Nic for a part in M:I-3.
  I thought that was pretty interesting – a way to keep her close not to say what it would do for the picture at the box-office.

  Regarding “what it would do for MI-3 to have Kidman on board” I am rather skeptic, since her last efforts – Birthday Girl and Human stain – were flops and Cold Mountain was somewhat disappointing, with her performance being called by movie critics a bit superficial, all the kuddos going to Renee, who does not rely on her prettiness but really gets into character. And the Cruise/Kidman team in the past had not worked too well either…

  I’ve gotten into the collaboration stories in the past and again I will say that I don’t believe at all that Tom and Nicole will do a movie together ever again. At least not as actor/actress and I doubt even as producer/actress.
  Tom has ended that part of his life. And Nicole will go back to a part of her life that she won’t do either, because she’s still in some way hurt by the split (and I’m not saying it is Tom’s fault or Nicole’s, so regardless the reason for the split!!) AND she always tells the story that her marriage held her back in performing in the movies. So in collaborating with Tom she will contradict that. Now at least it looks like she is more successfull on her own because she gets more praise (in my opinion that has to do with her choices in movie roles) and she doesn’t want to lose that.

  My goodness!!! who could see her (Penelope) taking Tom to the cleaners then also saw Nicole dragging Tom in agony into great despair and the final solution was divioce.
  If Tom needs to have an once of sense or brains to go back to Nic then may be some of us need to fill our empty-heads with some sense or brains as well.

  God!! All of you are so bitter! A shame, really! Why not wait until Tom speaks out about all this?!!! Untill then you can concentrate on his career! That’s why we’re all here, I assume. I really like this site and I couldn’t live without it but it pisses me off when I go on the Comments thread and find people offending either Penelope or Nic. But, hey, don’t mind me! I’ve only stated my opinion, I didn’t mean it in a bad way, so no offense!!

  And about the real reason I came to this thread: who is Keneth Branagh? What movies has he played in?

  I’m soo excited about the movie! The cast is lovely!!!!! What do you guys think?

  And also, could someone, please tell me why I can’t see any other posts after I’ve submitted mine? Obviously, I can’t read it here so would someone please type down the answer in another thread? I’ll be checking them all out! Thank you so much!!!

  Please keep it up because I would not like to see you entering in that bitter wagon (indirectly) through the back door.
  Sorry Jenny!! sometimes as a last resort, “tit for tat” is the only option to get the message through in a reasonable way.
  Please do let us know always when we go above the crossing line or above the limit when it comes to treating Tom, Nic and Penelope individually on different standards.
