MTV commercial
Tom Cruise took time off filming War Of The Worlds to show Mtv viewers exactly what makes an action hero – by shooting a spoof commercial for the cable channel’s upcoming Movie Awards.
Cruise, who will be among the presenters at the Los Angeles event on June 4th 2005, spins into shot in the car his character drives in War of The Worlds and then catches a baby thrown from a burning building.
After handing the tot to its mother on the Universal Studios backlot, the action man greets a stuntman, who is wandering around with flames all over him and lifts a car off a struggling pedestrian, before striking his famous sunglasses pose and straddling the motorcycle director Steven Spielberg gave him as a gift.
All the time, Cruise chats about the art of filmmaking and how important the light-hearted Mtv Movie Awards are. (teenhollywood)

I Live in Lexington, Virginia Where ” War of the Worlds” was partly filmed in “Rockbride County” and Mr. Tom Cruise was “W O W” ESP. at the local “Dairy Queen”. {He made an injured little girls Christmas Special} I learned a lot about Mr. Cruise, THE MAN, he has a Large and caring and loving heart….that is very true and genuine…I watched a special on Bravo 2 weeks ago and was mesmerized as I watched “TOM CRUISE, THE MAN” {the whole story on TV explains it all} please don’t every change, you have a heart of gold….I would not change a thing…I have been a Fan 4-ever and plan on staying that way so keep on keeping on….Angie ;0) I am only sorry I did not get to meet you in Lexington Darn!

Hi Annie,
I have never gone to a fan site before but of course was curious re: Tom’s remark. Well, sweetie, you have made yourself perfectly clear on the subject…LOL…and re: your English…it is beautiful!!! So don’t worry, take a deep breath and continue to do the work you love. I’m very sorry that some people can be very cruel.
Take care,
Rainey

For Angela T. Gibson: I like your comment about Tom. I’m also Tom’s fan for as long as I remember. The more I watch his interviews the more I’m impressed with him. He has an intense personality and seems sincere in his belief. He has an ambition and drive to help others. It’s too bad that a lot of people only read comments about Tom here and there from the media, and then draw their negative conclusions. I hope someday people will notice the positive things he has inspired to others.
