joanne says:
Yay, now we get to see this super sexy super gorgeous guy all dressed up again. he was so hot at the globes and i can’t wait for the oscars. i wasn’t gonna watch but now i definetly will.
namemaggie says:
This is something to look forward to – but it would be so much nicer and fairer if he had been nominated. He must get an ascar one day – he just must!!!
marta silva says:
Great. It will be great to see Tom at the Oscars. I had hoped to see him nominated for an Oscar and not for being a presenter. Oh, well, I’ll have to delight myself with Tom being a presenter.
Annie says:
OMG OMG
YAY!
Jem says:
Oscar org. is proud to tell the world that Tom will present wheras they (oscar) fail to acknowledge and reward him the awards he clearly deserves. The presence of Tom is needed to LET THE SHOW GO ON. I wounder if the Oscar org. must have heard calls for Oscar boycott from some Tom’s fans and taken that into consideration.
fanny says:
LOL. Yes Annie
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG !!!
Jambo says:
I mailed the oscar.org guys telling them , lot of people will be boycotting oscars this time because of the injustice done to tom.
heheheh I guess it worked.
sam says:
OMG
name Roberta Cacciatore says:
Now I have a reason to watch it, which I wasn’t. I loved him at the globes this year, and I got so frustrated when he wasn’t recognized for his great work in TLS. The acadamy made a big mistake this year by not nominating Tom and now they’re just trying to make it up by announcing him as a presenter. At least they will have someone interesting up there, to light up that boring show.
Lili says:
I too was not going to watch the Oscars, but of course now I will. I wonder if Tom will be announcing the nominees for best supporting actor. Wouldn’t it be great if his friend Watanabe won?
Tom will get an Oscar some day, for sure. Paul Newman was nominated 9 times before winning. at 62! I don’t think Tom will have to wait that long. In fact, maybe the gritty, dark Collateral could very well bring Oscar to him, and not a minute too soon! Lili
Jem says:
Annie, Fanny and Sam
Please pardon my ignorance and curiosity, what does “OMG stands for? “
I am just willing to learn. Thanks
Annie says:
Jem, OMG stands for ‘Oh My God’, in my case, I use it when I wanna say something like “WOW, that’s so cool” in a very fangirl way…..
Jem says:
Thanks very much indeed Annie, I have learnt something new.
bearenale says:
A reason to stay one more night awake
esmeralda says:
I will stay awake too…I have been watching the oscars since…i was 17…
gosh it’s been 10 years all ready but still the magic is the same…
I didn’t know OMG either but now I learn it too
I hope everyone of you enjoy the night…
even from TV
Diana says:
tom cruise is the best actor in the history of hollywood films. not winning an oscar let alone not being nominated pisses me off mor ethan ever. the actors that get nominated on there are so plain and boring and have no style (ok, jude law is pretty sexy!) but that is not the point. tom has worked so hard in his films and he deserves to be nominated. if it was up to me, he would be the onl;y on ei would nominate and give the best actor award to. even if the last samurai wasnt the best one he’s done, at least give him a bit of recognition for all the other fantastic films he’s made. the oscars are tasteless and have no eye for who’s great and who’s not. if he doesn’t win newt year i will throw a campaign for people to sign on to and we will rave the streets like theres no tomorrow – anyone up for that?
Sri says:
By now I got tired watching and listening the Oscar nominees. If not for Tom’s appearance on the Oscar’s night I wouldn’t watch the Oscar night at all. Tom is a talented actor, with or without the Oscar award he will still be a great actor. Every movie he made was excellent, never a boring one.
dana says:
i well watch it only for tom and if tom take the oskar or no he well take our hearts
Patti says:
A reason to watch the oscars – I was not going to watch at all since he was not nominated. I guess they know what they have to do to keep the ratings up. Cant wait to see what he wears – he was named best dressed at the Globes on E! – I am sure he will look great as always
