Top Gun News and Website issues

Paramount is going to release Top Gun: The Collectors Edition this November. No news on extras yet. (Thanks to Architect for the news)

And guys, please try to understand where Annie is coming from. Ya’ll are trashing this site with your comments. Reviews of Collateral have NOTHING to do with Tom, Nicole or Penelope, so don’t give me the “we’re commenting on the news” excuse. We’re seeing LONG comments extremely rude and obnoxious. The purpose of comments is to say a word or two on the latest news. If you want to talk about Tom, Nicole or Penelope’s life story, go to the forums. If you can’t except the rules of this site, please don’t come here.

  comment Hello, Fanny. I’m one of Japanese fans. I think Annie and you are very brave to do this. It needs much energy and strength to keep the site comfortable and normal. I respect you for running the site this way.
  We always enjoy reading news and getting much information about Tom.
  About TLS, we respect Tom and Ed very much, because it is really profound ! Tom’s performanse is moving and an amazingly Japanese style. His Japanese is so emotional even though the words are not so many.

  I heard tom is a party animal. He attended Jamie Foxx’s birthday party and had a blast. I would love to see some pics of tom partying. He also won a british award called EMMA for best actor for TLS. Way to go tom!! They are airing it on BBC2.

  I’m always reluctant to say that top gun is a fun movie, but it is for the most part. It’s about as hackneyed as it gets, but it has TC’s inestimable charm.

  For its assumed weaknesses ( in some people’s eyes) Top Gun is a classic, still mentionned 18 years later. Sure, it contains some predictable elements and scenes, but also great real flying, inspiring shots, a very hot love scene and the unforgettable “I feel the need…”. If they can get hold of some stuff from the shooting and today’s comments by some of the protagonists and give us some Extras, a Special edition will be a big hit with the new generation as well.

  And as our Japanese friend Kiyo said, kuddos to Annie, Fannie and the team for keeping this great site clean and comfortable for all, evading thus the pitts in which so many other fanclubs fall, and for doing such a superb job with daily news. Please keep up the good work, you have our love, appreciation and respect. Lili

  Top Gun is THE movie of the 80′s; it’s entertaining, fun and spectacular (for the time it goes out). Tom has a huge charisma (still have ) a graet charm that effect on both men and women of course!

  Wow ! That’s great ! Top Gun was the FIRST ever Tom Cruise movie I saw ! I really enjoyed the flight and non-flight scenes ! Amazing how a movie that was directed 18 years ago can still be a HIT !
