Tom Cruise Shooting More Valkyrie Scenes

Variety editor-in-chief Peter Bart says on his Blog that Tom Cruise is going back to shoot three more scenes for director Bryan Singer’s Valkyrie. Spoiler ahead:

Although the film has yet to be completed, several people I trust have seen “Valkyrie” and testify that it’s a superb thriller. “Bryan Singer is back in form,” says one source, referring to the “Valkyrie” director whose last film was “Superman Returns.”

Cruise will be shooting three scenes in North Africa within the next three weeks. In one, his character, Col. Claus Von Stauffenberg, is badly injured but survives, a key moment in the film’s first act.

Valkyrie is scheduled for a release on February 13, 2009. (Source: Coming Soon)

  I cannot wait! I cannot wait! I watch the trailer of “Valkyrie” constantly. It looks riveting to me, and Tom Cruise looks totally handsome and deeply into character! I believe it will be a spectacular film!

  Can’t wait for this movie. It is a very different role for Tom. He will be great as always. I read somewhere he was having trouble getting the German accent. Tom will be more critical of himself than anyone and he will want perfection from himself or it won’t be done. He is the best!!!

  Tom is a talented actor and he will even get better as he gets older. I have no doubt that Valkyrie will do great.

  I just watched Magnolia again on TV, and still loved Tom’s character in that movie.

  It’s true he is like wine, with the time he gets better and better, but when acting he always have the same body and face expressions, what it isn’t very good for a very good actor, but well we have to be patient and with the time he will reach perfection.
